BNP Paribas IP launches new offering

BNP Paribas Investment Partners has this week launched a new product set to Australian investors - its Global Emerging Market Equity capability.

Announcing the move, the company said the new offering presented compelling opportunities for Australian investors looking for diversification away from the traditional domestic bias.

It said the Global Emerging Markets Equity team had an exclusive focus on global emerging markets and utilised a bottom-up, fundamental investment approach, with a stock selection process that results in concentrated, high conviction portfolios.

The announcement said the Boston-based chief investment officer, Donald Smith, together with deputy chief investment officer, Rick Wetmore, would be visiting Australia early next month.

Commenting on the new offering, BNPP IP Australia chief executive, David Grybas said the company as pleased to be introducing the Global Emerging Market Equity expertise to its Australian clients.
