AMP and Iress directors join AICD board
AMP non-executive director Kathleen Bailey-Lord and Iress non-executive director Susan Forrester have been appointed to the national board of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD).
Bailey-Lord joined the AMP board at the start of 2024, and also sits on the AMP Bank board and the remuneration committee.
She has now joined the national board of the AICD representing the Victorian division.
Bailey-Lord has 25 years’ experience on board across the listed and private sector and has specialist knowledge in the areas of digital technology and disruptive change.
Meanwhile, Forrester joined the board to represent the Queensland division. She is a non-executive director at technology firm Iress where she has been sitting on the board since October 2024.
The pair will replace Rebecca McGrath and deputy chair Anne Cross who retired following their term completion. National director Heith Mackay-Cruise, who has been on the AICD board since June 2022, was promoted to fill the vacant deputy chair position.
McGrath recently took up a role as an independent director at superannuation fund UniSuper, while Cross departed after almost 10 years on the board.
Rounding out the appointments are Paul Vorbach to represent NSW, and Sibylle Brautigam to represent the Northern Territory.
The AICD helps boards run their organisation by providing education and advocating on director issues on behalf of its members.
