Outsider education superannuation retail funds industry fund

Glossing through the reams of data from the Money Management Salary Survey left on a colleague's desk, Outsider was amused to note that planners working for banks held higher academic qualification than their peers in the superannuation sector.

After much questioning and concern about the academic qualifications of planners working for the banks, the survey found that 72 per cent of those working for retail banks held a minimum of a BA, with almost 40 per cent having Post Grad or Masters.

Meanwhile almost 60 per cent of super fund planners claimed to hold an Advanced DFP or lower.

However, when it came to academic achievements within the planning industry, paraplanners stood head and shoulders above planners — excluding those working for the banks — with 36 per cent reporting to hold a Post Grad of Masters.
