CommInsure boosts retail advice team
CommInsure has made two senior hires in its retail advice distribution team, appointing Ian Knight as state manager for Victoria and Ben Bancroft as national accounts manager.
Knight was formerly head of Bank of Melbourne's financial planning division and has more than 10 years experience in financial services, including seven years with Financial Wisdom as state manager for Victoria and Tasmania and as practice development manager/consultant. He joins CommInsure on 23 July 2012.
Bancroft was previously a business development manager at Zurich and has held business development roles at ING and CommInsure, as well as spending three years as a financial planner. He will join the group on 11 July 2012.
CommInsure's general manager of retail advice Tim Browne described both as specialists in their field.
"Both have considerable experience in distribution. They have first-hand working knowledge of the industry and a genuine understanding of adviser and dealership needs," Browne said.
This follows the recent appointment of Kevin Goss as head of adviser distribution.
