Betashares appoints director of adviser services
In a move to tap into the growth in popularity of exchange-traded funds (ETFs), BetaShares has appointed Lyndall James as director of adviser services.
The former van Eyk national business development manager will be responsible for leading relationships with financial advisers, an area which BetaShares said presented a growth opportunity for ETF providers in a post-Future of Financial Advice environment.
"Lyndall has an excellent track record managing relationships and an in-depth knowledge of the Australian investment landscape," BetaShares managing director Alex Vynokur said.
Prior to van Eyk, James was a business development manager with OnePath and, before that, held a similar role with MLC.
Vynokur said the past year had seen a substantial growth in the take-up of BetaShares' ETF products by dealer groups and adviser practices, and James' experience would prove valuable as the business continued to invest in its ETF education process.
"BetaShares has a strong commitment to the Australian ETF market and we are pleased to have assembled one of the largest and most experienced sales teams in the industry", he said.
