AMP Capital expands global listed real estate team

AMP Capital has expanded its global listed real estate (GLRE) capability with Hideharu Ichii and Anika Minocha, who would both become portfolio managers/analysts within the GLRE teams in Hong Kong and Sydney.
Ichii would join AMP Capital’s Hong Kong team in July this year, bringing over 18 years’ financial experience and an extensive background in the Japanese real estate market.
Prior to this role, Ichii worked in portfolio management roles at APG Asset Management, CBRE Global Real Estate Securities and Taiyo Pacific Partners, as well as in corporate finance and equity sales roles at Nikko Securities.
Minocha would join AMP Capital’s Sydney team in July this year following rotations in the company’s graduate program, including two stints within the GLRE team.
Head of global listed real estate, James Maydew, said the appointments would contribute to AMP Capital’s strong focus on strengthening their global capability.
“As part of our commitment to continuous improvement and a high performance-led culture I’m pleased to welcome such a highly experienced and respected investor to the team,” he said.
“Hide will bring valuable expertise in the allocation of capital within the Japanese market and, along with Anika, will provide an essential contribution to the broader GLRE team.”
