O'Shannassy to depart BlackRock
The long-serving managing director of BlackRock in Australia, Maurice O’Shannessy, is to step down later this year when the company’s merger with Barclays Global Investors is complete.
A spokeswoman for the company said O’Shannassy had announced his intentions during formulation of new arrangements for the new entity.
O’Shannessy was appointed managing director and chief investment officer for BlackRock in 1997.
