Has Avaloq found a new Panorama?
Sitting as he does in his window suite at Money Management Central Outsider appreciates the benefits of a comfortable and convivial work environment and so he congratulates the team at Swiss-based financial services tech provider, Avaloq, on their move to new offices in Sydney’s George Street.
Outsider and a couple of his colleagues had reason to pay a visit to Avaloq’s new digs this month to discuss the niceties of Money Management's upcoming Future of Wealth Management Conference on the Gold Coast, not least the critical arrangements around the golf tournament and the provision of refreshments.
Where and how often you see the drinks cart can be critical to a golf tournament.
It was during this discussion that Outsider had cause to glance out the window and across the George Street disarray caused by the NSW Government’s endless light rail project to note that the chaps at Avaloq had a somewhat unhindered view of the pool bar of Sydney’s The Ivy “entertainment complex”.
Outsider’s maturity and his somewhat stately (some would say portly) appearance mean he is unlikely to be seen at The Ivy, but he has heard colourful stories about what happens at the venue and he wonders whether this was part of the attraction for the techno nerds who inhabit Avaloq.
Perhaps the chaps at Avaloq were simply looking for a more attractive panorama.
