Volatility reinforces value of super fund advice: ISN

Recent market volatility has highlighted the importance of being able to receive advice from your superannuation fund, according to the Industry Super Network (ISN).
The ISN has also reiterated its call for the Government to adopt a Cooper Review recommendation that all MySuper funds be required to provide intra-fund advice.
ISN chief executive David Whiteley said that with the current volatility, many super fund members are often seeking reassurance, information or advice about their super, and expect their fund to be able to provide it.
Whiteley said super funds have an obligation to provide information, education and advice to their members, given the compulsory nature of superannuation.
Industry Super Network (ISN) reminded Australians to contact their super fund if they were concerned about current financial market volatility.
