BGL rolls out Contract Note Service

Self-managed super fund (SMSF) software supplier BGL Corporate Solutions has announced the release of a fully automated contract note service to clients.
Managing director for BGL Ron Lesh said that the new service was a first for its integration of contract note data and provision of the contract note PDF.
"This new service will save our clients hundreds of hours of data input each year; it is just so easy to setup and use," he said. "We have built the web and software interfaces from the ground up, focusing on the user experience."
"The sign-up process has been simplified and the notification of brokers made very easy indeed."
According to BGL, the Contract Note Service will initially capture contract notes from 22 brokers. The data is then automatically imported by a web service directly into BGL's Simple Fund SMSF administration software, automatically creating purchase transactions, processing disposals transactions and applying GST as appropriate.
However, Lesh said that the most important feature of this service was the audit trail. The Service automatically attaches the contract note to the transaction in Simple Fund, making it instantly available to the administrator and auditor.
In addition to the Contract Note Service, Lesh added that BGL would also be releasing a fully automated registry data service to clients in mid-August 2012.
"BGL is intent on making The SMSF Dream available to all our clients through a range of advanced data services and software enhancements," he said. "The Paperless SMSF and BGL SmartSign are just the beginning."
