Zurich expands investment team
Zurich Financial Services Australia has added an investment specialist and two business development managers (BDMs) to its investment team.
The former head of money market at Macquarie Private Wealth, Angus Crennan, joins Zurich as an investment specialist, reporting to senior investments specialist Patrick Noble.
Crennan is responsible for Zurich’s equity products and for providing investment commentary to financial advisers and investors of Zurich’s managed funds, the firm stated.
“Angus’ appointment will allow the investments team to continue to source one-of-a-kind investment offerings from local and global investment managers in line with our business model to deliver the best funds in each asset class,” said the general manager of investments at Zurich, Matthew Drennan.
Caitriona Mulhall has been appointed as New South Wales business development manager and Don Surjan has been appointed regional manager for Western Australia, both reporting to Kristine Wade, head of sales — investments.
Mulhall worked as a business development manager with LV Asset Management in London and also traded equity futures with Geneva Trading in Dublin and Elite Derivatives in London. Surjan has previously held roles with AMP and Hillross and has experience as a financial planner and practice development manager.
