The principal of William Buck Wealth Advisers in Victoria, Rob Davy, has announced his retirement after almost 20 years in the financial planning industry. He will be succeeded by his colleague David Alcorn.

Davy began his involvement in the financial planning industry in 1991 by developing Outlook Financial Planning with Tim Townsend, who is now a principal with WHK Horwath.

Davy also established the financial planning division of Melbourne-based chartered accounting firm Webb & Co. The combined funds under administration of William Buck Wealth Advisory offices now exceeds $1.3 billion.

In 2008 and 2009, Davy was recognised as Securitor Dealer Group Adviser of the Year for Victoria and Tasmania, and his firm was named Practice of the Year in 2009.

Davy’s retirement will become effective from 23 December, 2010.
