Wells Fargo AM expands multi-asset team
Wells Fargo Asset Management (WFAM) has announced it is expanding its multi-asset solutions team with the newest addition of Eddie Cheng, who will join the firm as head of international portfolio management.
He would be responsible for managing absolute return and alternative risk premia strategies as well as supporting the expansion of Wells Fargo’s business in Asia by working closely with Wai Lee, head of research for the multi-asset solutions team.
Cheng, who joined from Schroders where he served as a senior multi-asset portfolio manager, would report in his new role to Nico Marais, WFAM’s president and head of multi-asset solutions, based in London.
The firm also said that, apart from Cheng, its multi-asset team recently saw the addition of Chenfei Ma and Stephane Renevier who joined as an investment analyst and a portfolio manager, respectively.
“These new team members bring a depth of experience to our multi-asset platform as we strive to create solutions that address the complex and changing needs of our clients,” Marais said.
“The addition of Eddie, Chenfei and Stephane to our team not only strengthens our capabilities in the area of machine learning, but further deepens the team’s experience as we aim to deliver best-in-class absolute return and alternative risk premia strategies to our clients.”
