Vanguard appoints Asia-Pacific research head
Vanguard veteran Jeffery Johnson has been enlisted to head up the global investments giant's Asia-Pacific strategy and research division.
After 13 years with the company, beginning as a senior investment analyst, Johnson developed the thought leadership skills necessary to manage the Australia-based team of four analysts, according to chief economist Joseph Davis, who leads the global investment strategy group.
"Jeff's experience in our Portfolio Review group will add to the experienced local team," he said.
The group provides commentary on issues like portfolio construction, asset allocation and location, tax issues and market and economic trends.
Johnson will be responsible for conducting research and providing strategy advice tailored to the Asia-Pacific region.
He will move to Australia early next year.
