van Eyk replaces asset consultancy team

van Eyk has completely rebooted its asset consultancy team, with four new appointments to replace three incumbents who departed last week.
In a memo to investors, the group announced the internal appointment of Otto Rieth to head van Eyk's asset consulting and strategic research unit.
Reith has worked with van Eyk for more than 13 years and is a senior member of the team with responsibility for model portfolio management, SMA's and direct equity portfolios.
He is joined by Tom Cottam, Vinoth Jayaratnam and Franz Baumgartner.
It comes just days after the group's asset consultancy trio, head of asset consulting, Jonathan Ramsay, and asset consultants, Fil Andronaco and Jonathan Tolub, departed in undisclosed circumstances.
However, van Eyk said they were assisting in a "smooth handover" and thanked them for their service.
The departures followed the termination of four van Eyk blueprint funds by their responsible entity, Macquarie Investment Management.
Earlier this month, van Eyk suspended redemptions on the four funds due to an illiquid investment made by UK-based hedge fund.
