Van Eyk Research has appointed Chris Bigg and Ming Chen as senior investment analyst and investment analyst, respectively.
Bigg has joined van Eyk from Ellerston Capital, where he was a senior investment analyst for their fund of funds team. He was responsible for global long-short equity managers, top down strategy and asset allocation.
Bigg covered global equities from 2005 to early 2008 for the Ellerston GEMs product and CPH internal portfolios. Before joining Ellerston, he was a fund manager at QBE, managing international equities portfolios.
Chen joined van Eyk from QIC, where she was an analyst in the implemented solutions team. Her responsibilities included performance analytics, data integrity checks, analysis of portfolio holdings, and monthly and quarterly client reporting. Chen previously worked in the alpha investments team at QIC.
“In the wake of the global financial crisis, the demand for high quality investment research is growing apace, and van Eyk is responding to this by appointing analysts of the high calibre and experience of Chris and Ming,” said van Eyk chief executive Mark Thomas.
