Tyndall Investment Management (Tyndall) has strengthened its fixed interest team with the appointment of credit analysts Chris Rands and Simon Wang.

Before his appointment, Rands was an analyst in the structured finance business of Moody's Investors Service.

Wang worked with ING Investment Management for four years in the fixed interest and investments solutions team, and most recently, as an analyst for Navigator Project Finance.

Tyndall head of credit John Sorrell said credit analysis was of increasing importance in the management of risk in fixed interest investing.

"The different backgrounds and skills of Chris and Simon will bring new perspectives to our overall analytic approach, and emphasises Tyndall's resolve to create a strong well-rounded and resourced credit team," Sorrell said.

"We can now look even more broadly and deeply at credit risk, including looking at, and monitoring, international bond issues."
