David Callander

Tower Australia has appointed Brett Clark as chief executive officer of retail life, following the departure of David Callander earlier this year.

Clark, who will step into the role in August, has been deputy managing director of AIG Life for the past year. His previous roles at AIG Life include general manager, product distribution and chief actuary.

Tower Australia managing director Jim Minto said Clark’s appointment affirms the company’s strategy of life insurance specialisation in the Australian market.

Tower is the only company listed on the Australian Securities Exchange that earns more than 50 per cent of its income from life insurance and is currently the largest non-bank life insurance provider in the Australian market.
