Suncorp Life promotes Mair to head distribution

Suncorp Life has made a key distribution appointment.

The company has announced the appointment of a new head of distribution, Andrew Mair, who will be joining the company as an executive general manager in March and have responsibility for Suncorp Life's advice businesses and Asteron Life's direct business.

Announcing the appointment, Suncorp Life chief executive, Geoff Summerhayes said Mair would help drive long term improvement to its Suncorp's customer and adviser offering to improve sustainability.

"Andrew has exceptional leadership skills in managing through significant industry change, with particular skills in building successful partnerships with brokers," Summerhayes said.

Mair has been with Suncorp for six years and most recently was the EGM for commercial insurance (CI) distribution. Prior to this Mair was with Zurich Insurance for 20 years.
