Global asset management firm, Standard Life Investments, has moved to beef up its multi-asset team in Asia.

The company announced last week that it had appointed multi-asset specialists, Jason Yu and Dongyue Zhang as investment directors based in Hong Kong.

The company described the appointments as being integral to its Asia-Pacific growth strategy, whilst further reinforcing its multi-asset investment capabilities globally.

It said that, in the newly created roles, Yu and Zhang wouldl contribute to Standard Life Investments' business globalisation through supporting the growth of its multi-asset suite of products in the Asia-Pacific markets.

Commenting on the appointments, Standard Life head of Asia, David Peng said they signified the company's commitment to clients as it continued to grow in the region.

He said the two men would report to Jonathan Price, Global Head of Investment Specialists.
