St George makes key planning appointments

St George Financial Planning has announced a number of key appointments aimed at injecting some new momentum into its three brand advice businesses.

The company has announced a new head of financial planning within its Bank of Melbourne business, a head of business banking within its St George Financial Planning operations, and a new head of distribution at St George Financial Planning.

It said Ian Knight had been appointed to head up Financial Planning at Bank of Melbourne, while Annie Wong would be head of business operations at St George Financial Planning.

The new head of distribution at St George Financial Planning is Jason Dunn, who was previously national CVP director of advice at BT Financial Group.

The banking group said that Knight had been tasked with delivering on Bank of Melbourne’s growth strategy, which was to see planner numbers rise to 50 within three years, while Wong would be responsible for business operations across the three brands of the St George Banking Group’s advice business.

Dunn will be responsible for distribution across the three brands.

Commenting on the appointments, St George Banking Group head of advice Sean Allen said the roles were new and represented an injection of talent and energy.
