Sophia Rahmani joins Henderson Global Investors
Henderson Global Investors has appointed Sophia Rahmani chief operating officer of its Australian funds business as it continues to develop into a pure funds management business in the Asia Pacific region.
She joins the group from Macquarie Funds Group, where she was associate director within the central management group responsible for strategy, business development and communications as well as investment management marketing.
Before that, Rahmani was a lawyer within the financial service mergers and acquisitions division of Mallesons Stephens Jaques.
As part of its expansion plans, Henderson appointed Rob Adams as executive chairman and Nick Evans as executive director last year. In January, the group also appointed former Challenger Investments general manager — institutional business as head of distribution.
"As we move towards implementation of our strategic plan for the development of our Australian business, securing the services of industry-leading people is clearly critical," Adams said.
