Shaw and Partners has continued to grow its team with another senior appointment.

The company announced this week that it had appointed former BT Investment Group institutional equities specialist, Darin Lester to its team.

It said Lester had previously held roles with Macquarie Group where he was a Division Director for Alternative Strategies and Institutional Sales in the Group's New York, Hong Kong and Sydney offices.

Commenting on the appointment, Shaw and Partners Head of Equities, Mike Ryan said Lester's appointment was part of the strategy to gradually grow Shaw and Partners' institutional capabilities by bringing on board experienced equities professionals.

"We will be continuing with this strategy and are currently seeking the right people who will help us grow our institutional business and take it to the next level to benefit our clients," he said.
