SFG Australia managing director and chief executive officer Tony Fenning will return to his post next week after a seven-week health-related absence.

Fenning stepped down on 23 December last year due to unspecified health reasons, according to a company announcement posted on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX).

His responsibilities as managing director and CEO were temporarily filled by John Cowan, the wealth management firm’s chief operating officer.

Following Fenning’s return on 10 February, Cowan will resume his former role, SFG said in a market update.
