Scientific Beta hires investment solutions lead
Experienced quantitative researcher Warwick Schneller has taken up a new role, joining Scientific Beta as the head of investment solutions, Australia and New Zealand.
Effective 9 December, he will be a senior member of Scientific Beta’s investment specialist team, working on research, index construction, and business development to link investors with the firm’s global leading research and index design capabilities.
Prior to this, Schneller spent almost eight years at Dimensional Fund Advisors, most recently serving as a senior investment strategist and vice president for one-and-a-half years.
During his tenure at the firm, he led research initiatives and provided thought leadership, analysis and client education on a wide range of investment-related topics across Australia and New Zealand.
At Scientific Beta, he will work closely with Susan Rodgers, business development director for Australia and New Zealand, to help cultivate new business with asset owners, asset managers, and consultants across the region.
Commenting on the appointment, Rodgers highlighted his strong academic credentials, senior investment research, and strategy experience in systematic equities.
“It is exciting to have Warwick join the Sydney office, to help me continue the expansion of Scientific Beta’s footprint in the region. I’m thrilled at his appointment,” she said.
Scientific Beta launched in Australia and New Zealand in September 2022 and is a global provider of advanced index solutions designed to help asset managers and institutions understand and invest in smart factor and ESG equity strategies.
Earlier this week, it also unveiled a new partnership with sustainable super fund collective Future Group to develop an international equities strategy aligned with sustainable investment principles and members’ best financial interest.
