Russell adds to super trustee board
Russell Investments has appointed two new independent directors to its superannuation trustee board.
The company announced this week it had appointed Alexis Dodwell and Michael Gordon to the board in a move aimed at further strengthening the trustee's governance, risk management, and investment experience.
Dodwell is a risk, compliance and corporate governance specialist and was previously general manager, risk and compliance at Perpetual, while Gordon was the group executive of Perpetual Investments and a previous chief investment officer with Fidelity International.
Russell Investments provides superannuation outsourcing, including its master trust and tailored outsourcing services through its wholly owned subsidiary Total Risk Management (TRM).
Commenting on the appointments, Russell Investments chief executive for Asia Pacific, Peter Gunning said the two industry veterans would help assure continued, strong, independent oversight.
