Global asset manager, Robeco Australia, has appointed a new Melbourne-based regional sales manager.

The company announced this week it had appointed Sam Besley as a regional sales manager based in Melbourne for the company's growing retail business.

The announcement said Besley would work alongside sales manager, Matthew Young, who was based in Robeco's Sydney office.

Confirming the appointment, head of Robeco Australia, Stephen Dennis, said the additional sales person had long been anticipated as the business had achieved significant momentum since Robeco established an Australian office in 2012.

"We are delighted to welcome Sam to the team as he brings a wealth of local industry knowledge and experience," he said.

"Sam will serve clients across Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania, allowing us to extend our footprint and bring our investment offerings, service and insights to more advisers."
