Richard Grellman joins Genworth
Genworth has appointed Richard Grellman AM to the position of non-executive chairman for Genworth Australian companies.
Genworth chairman and chief executive Michael D. Fraizer said Grellman's expertise would be valuable in the company's pursuit of a minority share IPO of its Australian mortgage insurance business.
Grellman is currently chairman of Australia's fifth largest accounting firm, WHK Group and a director of Bisalloy Steel Group - a listed steel manufacturer with global operations, Genworth stated.
He forged a career at KPMG where he was a member of the national board, national executive committee, and a practice leader in several areas.
"He brings a wealth of experience from the financial services sector, as well as from holding numerous directorships of publicly listed companies," said Fraizer.
"His experience will help guide Genworth Australia to reach its strategic goals and continue to meet the needs of its customers in a dynamic market environment."
Grellman will replace Gayle Tollifson, who joined the board in 2007 and will remain a non-executive director.
