Realindex appoints head of investments
Equity fund manager Realindex Investments, which is owned by Colonial First State Global Asset Management, has appointed Dr David Walsh to the newly-created role of head of investments.
Walsh would join from RF Capital where he was chief investment officer and was previously head of investments at Acadian Asset Management Australia.
In his new role, Walsh would manage a team of nine from Sydney and report to chief executive Andrew Francis.
Francis said: “David will be a fantastic addition to the team and demonstrates our commitment to reinvest back in to the business. It’s a great endorsement that we have been able to attract someone of David’s calibre”.
“The appointment of a head of investments will enable us to continue to focus on delivering value to our clients, in addition to increasing our thought leadership contribution and the product development required to underpin the long-term growth of the business,” he said.
Realindex manages funds across Australian, global and emerging market equities and has assets under management of $28 billion.
