Rantall new FPA CEO
|
The Financial Planning Association (FPA) has named Mark Rantall as its new chief executive succeeding Jo-Anne Bloch.
Rantall's appointment was announced today by FPA chair Julie Berry, who referenced his long career in the financial planning industry and, in particular, his work with Godfrey Pembroke and NAB Academy's dean of advice.
He was selected from 17 candidates for the job.
"Mark is highly qualified and respected within the profession and he has a wealth of experience working with financial planning practices of all sizes over the last 25 years," Berry said.
She said it was important to acknowledge the outstanding contribution made by Deen Sanders as the acting chief executive through one of the busiest few months in the life of the FPA and at a time when FPA members' professionalism is being highlighted by the Government.
"This further reinforces the FPA board's decision to ask Deen not to run for the position of CEO because our preference is for him to remain focused and committed to the strategy of professionalism," she said.
