QMV launches with managing partner appointment

QMV Legal has launched and has appointed David Reckenberg as its managing partner, based in Melbourne.
He would oversee the strategic rollout of QMVs legal services function, which would provide a focused and innovative legal and regulatory advisory model.
This model would benefit from QMV’s technical expertise and close understanding of the operations of superannuation trustees and service providers.
Mark Vaughn, QMV managing director, said the appointed reflected a growing trend in financial services organisations of focusing expert legal services to be associated with its services.
In this case, that meant data, technology and operations-based consulting for superannuation and financial services clients.
“QMV is at a critical growth point with the launch of QMV Legal, which is a practical demonstration of the continuing strength of the business,” Vaughn said.
“David’s ability to service clients with knowledgeable and well-informed commercial advice will serve to benefit the business immensely.”
Previously, Reckenberg was employed with Hive Legal for almost five years, providing advice to clients across superannuation and the broader financial services market.
Before that, he held roles at UniSuper, Vanguard Investments Australia, AXA Australia, and law firm Minter Ellison.
Jonathan Steffanoni had also been appointed partner of QMV Legal and would continue to provide clients with his legal and regulatory expertise, and advice.
