PGI appoints Andrea Muller as chief executive, East Asia
Principal Global Investors (PGI) has appointed Andrea Muller as managing director and chief executive for PGI East Asia, effective immediately.
Based in Singapore, Muller will head the region with responsibility for activities in Asia-ex Japan.
Muller has over 23 years of experience with large multinational firms and was most recently head of Fitch Ratings Asia Pacific.
PGI executive director of international distribution, Kirk West, said Muller’s experience in the region would complement the existing PGI team in Asia.
“She has an impressive track record in the asset management, investment banking and ratings industry with established financial institutions. We have ambitious aims in Asia, and her range of experience makes her an excellent fit for our business,” said West.
Muller replaces West as managing director in East Asia. He was promoted in November to oversee distribution for PGI in Asia, Australia, Europe, Latin America and the Middle East.
