Perpetual expands diversified strategies team


Blackrock managing director and head of asset allocation David Hudson has moved to Perpetual as the head of asset allocation in the diversified strategies team.
Perpetual Investments' head of diversified strategies Michael O'Dea said Hudson has almost two decades' experience in multi-asset portfolio management, which will be handy for the role.
Hudson was at Blackrock as managing director for 14 years. He has also worked at BT and in the Commonwealth Department of the Treasury and the Prime Minister's office.
Perpetual also announced it has promoted Matthew Sherwood to head of investment strategy within the diversified strategies team.
Sherwood has been with Perpetual for a decade and was previously head of investment markets research.
The firm said Sherwood will continue with his financial market research and delivering macro-economic insights to clients.
