Parametric adds product manager
Global implementation manager Parametric has appointed Sheela Veerappan as its new product manager to help build a suite of superannuation clients in Australia.
Veerappan joined Parametric from Willis Towers Watson where she was responsible for conducting qualitative and quantitative research on Australian equity, global equity and long/short managers.
Prior to joining Willis Towers Watson, Veerappan worked a senior investment consultant at Morningstar Asia Singapore, after prior roles working in asset consulting and investment management.
She has 13 years of experience in financial services and she would be a key contact for Paramteric’s Australian clients and their stakeholders for investment, strategy and operational needs.
She would also manage a network of equity managers repositioning to participate in Parametric’s Centralised Portfolio Management (CPM) equity solution.
Parametric Australasia’ chief executive, Chris Briant, said: “The appointment of Sheela Veerappan is particularly exciting given her wealth of experience both in Australia and overseas, including her experience in manager research.
“Now that we are becoming known for solutions like Defensive Equities and Systematic Emerging Markets beyond our traditional tax-managed equity capabilities, we value someone like Sheela with an interest in new ideas, a broad range of skills and knowledge of the superannuation industry.”
