OpenMarkets appoints chief technology officer
Digital stockbroker, OpenMarkets, has appointed Dr Robert Lang to the newly created role of chief technology officer (CTO).
Lang would be responsible for all technology and IT leadership, and would also provide strategic advice about technological approaches.
Lang was most recently chief executive officer of Auggd, and prior to this, CTO of trade surveillance and monitoring business, NASDAQ SMARTS.
OpenMarkets CEO, Andrea Marani, said the company’s focus has been to provide quality technological solutions, and the appointment of Lang would enable the development of “efficient, scalable systems” to continue.
“ … To appoint someone with Rob’s industry knowledge and experience to drive the IT effort ensures we will continue to develop leading-edge technology to underpin further growth for OpenMarkets and our commercial partners,” she said.
Lang said he was excited to join the “institutionally unaligned” company that was “passionate about industry disruption”.
