OnePath appoints Lombardo as group underwriting manager
OnePath has appointed Claude Lombardo to the role of group underwriting manager in which he will manage OnePath’s group risk underwriting team.
Lombardo will report to the chief underwriter and will work with OnePath’s internal and external stakeholders to enhance the company’s presence in the group risk market, OnePath stated.
Lombardo’s 30 years in the financial services industry includes roles working for a number of life insurers and reinsurers in specialist underwriting and claims roles in the individual and group markets in Australia, according to OnePath.
OnePath’s chief underwriter, John Leonard, said the firm was pleased to welcome such a senior and well-credentialed person into the team.
“Group risk insurance continues to be an area of focus for OnePath in 2011, and Claude’s expertise will be particularly valuable as we seek to strengthen our presence in the group risk insurance market,” he said.
