The head of the NRMA’s asset management division, Susan Doyle, has today announced her departure from the group.

Doyle, who had been the head of the division for seven years, will be replaced by David Dixon, who has been with the NRMA since 1995.

Dixons will take on the role in a caretaker capacity while the NRMA, now operating under the Insurance Australia Group banner, searches for a permanent replacement.

Insurance Australia Group chief executive Michael Hawker says Doyle’s departure coincides with the group’s plans to change its focus in asset management

“We plan to integrate our asset management area more fully into the insurance business and build our third party funds under management,” Hawker said in a statement to the Australian Stock Exchange.

Dixon has more than 16 years experience in the asset management industry.
