Nikko AM creates new role
Nikko Asset Management has created a new role – head of product and strategy.
The fund manager said it had appointed Hendrie Koster to the newly-created role, which had followed an extensive review of the role of product innovation and development.
Announcing the appointment, the company said it signalled its commitment to growing and evolving within the changing asset management industry.
Commenting on the move, Nikko AM Australia managing director, Sam Hallinan said the nature of asset management globally was transforming, born out of changing market dynamics including the rise of passive, disruptive technology, fiduciary based regulation and constantly evolving institutional and retail marketplaces.
Hallinan said the new role would carry the responsibility of driving the firm’s product agenda.
Koster will report to Hallinan and be a part of the Nikko AM Australia leadership team.
