Nikko AM adds new director
Nikko Asset Management (AM) Australia has announced the appointment of Naomi Edwards as a non-executive director of Nikko AM Australia and Nikko AM.
Edwards would also become chair of the Risk and Compliance Committee.
The firm said that this appointment strengthened its focus on enhancing governance across the organisation as Edwards had developed a strong reputation in responsible investing and additionally sat on the boards of two other Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) listed fund managers, Australian Ethical Investments and Hunter Hall.
She has extensive experience in the financial services sector and is a former partner at Deloitte and director of Trowbridge Consulting. Edwards is also a member of the Tasmanian Economic Development Board and a non-executive director of the Australian Institute of Superannuation Trustees.
