AMP Limited has announced a new managing director for Genesys Wealth Advisers - Paul Robertson.

Robertson was previously the chief executive of Tynan Mackenzie and was a part of its merger with ipac in December. Prior to that he was national manager of AXA Financial Advice network and also led AXA Financial Planning.

AMP director Financial Advice Network, Andrew Waddell, said Robertson would take on his new role from 21 January.

According to the AMP announcement, Robertson will be focused on the continuing roll-out of Genesys Evolution and "a revised value proposition for member firms that captures the benefits of a closer alignment with the AMP Group".

Robertson succeeds John Saint as Genesys Wealth Advisers managing director, with Saint having decided to leave the company.
