New IT head for Equity Trustees
Equity Trustees has appointed a new head of business systems and information technology (IT) to implement a long-term business systems development and technology plan for the company.
Ryan Bessemer will be responsible for upgrading Equity Trustees’ technology systems to meet the needs of clients, comply with regulation and support business development.
Bessemer has more than 19 years of experience in developing security, risk, compliance and IT governance systems for Austock Group, consulting firm Volante/Ipex and software developers Software Spectrum International.
“Now that we’ve got our platform and systems development in place we need to look ahead, over five and ten years, at what will be the IT environment — and the systems environment — that we need for success,” said Equity Trustees managing director Robin Burns.
“Superior use of technology is essential for business offering services to other organisations in financial services, as well as individual investors,” Burns said.
