New head for Russell Australia and NZ
Chris Corneil will now head Russell Investments’ Australian and New Zealand businesses following the promotion of the group’s chief executive officer, Asia Pacific, Alan Schoenheimer, to head up the company’s international business operations.
Corneil, who is currently the managing director of Russell’s combined retail and institutional services group, Investor Services, first joined the company in 1998. In 2003 he was appointed to lead the retail business, and in February this year took over as head of Investor Services.
Meanwhile, Schoenheimer’s promotion will see him oversee a team of 500 staff members across five continents, including Australia. He will be based in London.
Both appointments are effective from January 2009.
