New CEO for Metlife

Former ING New Zealand chief executive Marc Lieberman has been appointed as chief executive officer of Metlife Insurance in Australia.

Metlife announced Lieberman’s appointment today.

Commenting on the appointment, Metlife’s regional managing director for the Asia Pacific region, Peter Smyth, said Leiberman’s experience would complement and strengthen the company’s Australian management group.

After leaving ING New Zealand, Lieberman led Hartford Life in Ireland.
