Mostyn appointed chair of Citigroup

Citigroup announced three key board appointments this week.
The big financial services group announced that Samantha Mostyn would be succeeding Richard Warburton as chairman, and that former senior public servant, Dr Ian Watt and Perpetual board member, Ian Hammond would be joining the board as non-executive directors.
Mostyn joined the Citi board in July 2011 and has been Chair of the Remuneration Committee since January.
Citi's Country Officer in Australia, Stephen Roberts welcomed Mostyn's appointment saying she had provided valuable counsel during her time on the board.
"She brings a wealth of experience in corporate governance and sustainability, all of which will contribute to our goals of serving clients with actions that are systemically responsible, and supporting the economic growth of Australia," he said.
Mostyn is currently a Board Member of Virgin Australia, Transurban Group, Mirvac and CoverMore Group.
Hammond is currently a Non-Executive Director of Perpetual Limited and was a partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers from 1988 to 2015.
Watt was most recently Secretary to the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet.
