MLC promotes Beer to GM of group insurance
Megan Beer has moved through the senior ranks of MLC and stepped into the role of general manager for group insurance.
Beer was previously head of finance for MLC Insurance and has been with the group for almost two years.
Executive general manager of insurance Duncan West said group insurance was the key driver of growth for Australian insurers today and that MLC planned to take full advantage of that with Beer's guidance.
"We are delighted to have Megan as our general manager of group insurance for MLC. Her extensive financial knowledge combined with her industry experience will be a stunning addition to the team," West said.
Prior to joining MLC, Beer was at Tower Australia (now TAL Ltd) for seven years and held roles including head of risk, planning and analysis, chief risk officer and chief actuary.
She had replaced Andrew Howard, who is now general manager for people and culture at MLC and NAB Wealth, reporting directly to Steve Tucker.
