Merlon poaches AMP Capital portfolio manager
Boutique fund manager Merlon Capital Partners has poached AMP Capital portfolio manager Adrian Lemme, who will move to his new position in June 2012.
Lemme has been appointed portfolio manager and analyst, bringing the investment team of the Aussie equities fund manager to a total of seven.
He started his career at the Commonwealth Bank (CBA), where he was the lead transport analyst with CBA equities research prior to joining AMP Capital in 2010.
At AMP Capital, Lemme was responsible for investments in retail, food and beverage, transport and chemical sectors.
Merlon Capital will celebrate its second anniversary in May, with more than $1.3 billion in funds under management.
Merlon chief executive officer Neil Margolis said Lemme's "strong cultural fit - combined with his exceptional research skills - is a great addition to the team".
