Matt Olsen becomes CEO at Lonsec Research
The former chief investment officer at Energy Industries Super, Matt Olsen, has been appointed as chief executive officer of research and ratings house, Lonsec Research.
The company announced today that Olsen was replacing David Erdonmez, who departed the business in June.
Olsen will be responsible for managing the research team of 25 investment professionals, overseeing the implementation of Lonsec's investment research process for financial advisers, as well as supporting the evolution of its service offering.
The Lonsec announcement said Olsen brought more than 20 years' experience in the financial services industry, including equity analysis, fund manager research and portfolio management.
Commenting on the appointment, Lonsec Research Director and Joint Chief Executive of Lonsec Fiscal, Amanda Gillespie said Olsen had extensive investment and research experience and skills to lead the research business on a continued path of sustainable growth.
