Mason Stevens has announced the appointment of Rod Skellet who will join the group to take on a newly created position of an investment strategist.

He would be responsible for providing IFA clients with information about equity opportunities such as ideas, fundamental research, technical observations and integrated execution – in order to help customer engagement and serviceability.

Skellet has more than 30 years of experience in financial markets and a strong background in both equity and debt derivative markets and equity and debt capital markets, having held positions at ASX, Ords/JP Morgan, Deutsche Bank and BITG and, most recently, at Origin Capital.

“The rapid evolution of our activities over the last few years goes in tandem with the changing marketplace.  This new role will allow us to focus and deliver co-ordinated investment opportunities across the domestic, international and private equity space,” Vincent Hua, chief investment officer, said.
