Magellan has made key appointments which will see Hamish McLennan take the role of deputy chairman and Robert Fraser to become a new chairman of Magellan Asset Management, responsible entity (RE) and main operating subsidiary of the group, effective 5 June.

McLennan has extensive experience both in an executive capacity and as a chairman of public companies while Fraser is currently chairman of the audit and risk committee which gave him an extensive understanding of Magellan’s operations, the firm said in the statement released to the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX).

“We are grateful to have such a dedicated and experienced board and delighted that Hamish and Robert have agreed to take on these important roles,” Magellan’s chairman Hamish Douglass commented on the appointments.
