Macquarie's Murphy to head BNY Mellon

Bruce Murphy

The executive director and head of distribution at Macquarie Funds Management, Bruce Murphy, has been appointed managing director of BNY Mellon Asset Management in Australia.

Murphy replaces James Gruver in the BNY Mellon role, with Gruver moving to the US to work on strategic growth initiatives.

Murphy will report to the chief executive of BNY Mellon Asset Management, Asia, David Jiang.
